South Africa is the perfect incentive destination for companies looking to reward employees.

South Africa has been named as one of five Emerging Incentive Destinations by US magazine, Incentive. According to several influential incentive travel executives that Incentive Magazine interviewed, the dominating influence when choosing a destination is its cultural offerings, its traditions and range of activities and attractions.

Companies are looking for memorable shared experiences. The business benefit of an incentive trip is primarily to drive sales and develop strong working relationships. For the individual, an incentive trip acts as a motivator to succeed.

A safari in South Africa is particularly attractive to incentive planners as it gives their clients an opportunity to see the Big Five, view southern right whales during carving season and even enjoy a cage shark diving expedition. Both Cape Town and Johannesburg offer relatively easy access to viewing game in their natural habitat.

Cape Town, recently voted Favourite Worldwide City by readers of the UK Telegraph Newspaper is exceptionally picturesque and its beautiful coastal setting dominated by Table Mountain is practically unbeatable from an aesthetic point of view. However, it is more than just a pretty face as it also offers a range of activities and experiences ranging from wine tasting tours to the regions impressive Cape Dutch homesteads, cultural visits where incentive groups can contribute positively to the communities they visit. Other activities include drumming, learning African wire-making and enjoying a Cape Malay cooking course in Bo-Kaap.

Or you may choose to focus on adventure activities such as cage diving with white sharks in Gansbaai, o sandboarding in Atlantis’ stunning dunes or kite-surfing in Blouberg. There isn’t a better way to reward your employees than with an incentive trip to Cape Town.

Pilanesberg National Park is only an hour and half away from Johannesburg and provides a perfect Big 5 incentive experience as it is adjacent to the Sun City Resort. Novel experiences include; elephant-back safaris, hot-air ballooning, boma dinners under African skies, quad biking, paragliding and horse riding. Plus, there are plenty of restaurants, bars, coffee shops and evening entertainment to keep groups amused afterhours.

As an aspirational incentive destination, South Africa is able to provide adventure, emotive teambuilding projects and cultural experiences that are hard to find anywhere else in the world. Discover it for yourself.
