The 37th iteration of the prestigious Nedbank Golf Challenge hosted by Gary Player is set to showcase the very best golfing prowess from the 9th through to the 12th of November.

The Nedbank Golf Challenge is scheduled to be the seventh of eight events in the newly introduced Rolex Series - a premium category of the European Tour. Each of the eight tournaments boast a minimum prize fund of $7 million, with the Nedbank Golf Challenge offering a $7.5 million prize fund ahead of the DP World Tour Championship held in Dubai.

The inclusion of Rolex, a long standing partner of the European Tour is expected to enhance both the competitive and entertainment experience for players as well as spectators.

Spectators are afforded the luxury of placing bets at Sunbet, the official sports betting partner of the Nedbank Golf Challenge. With a number of betting stations available across the course, the process of placing a golf bet is sure to be quick and effortless.

Punters can expect a broad range of betting markets comprising outright bets, tournament match bets, three ball bets, top 10 and 5 players, hole-in-one bets as well as lowest round of the day. Pre-tournaments bets afford punters the opportunity of getting fantastic odds on the predicted winner of the Nedbank Golf Challenge as illustrated by Danny Willet’s 25/1 odds in 2014, Marc Leishman’s 66/1 in 2015 and Alex Noren’s 20/1 in 2016.

The limited field of 72 top players includes the Swedish star, Henrik Stenson who will attempt to clench his second Nedbank Golf Challenge title after claiming the title in 2008. In addition to Stenson, the current world number 14, Alex Noren will return to defend his Nedbank Golf Challenge title, along with the likes of Thomas Bjørn who claimed the title in 2013 and Louis Oosthuizen, the 2010 Open champion.

“The Nedbank Golf Challenge hosted by Gary Player is one of the highlights of the South African sporting calendar and we’re certainly looking forward to an exciting tournament. With all of the top players in attendance, betting on the outright winner is sure to be a challenge but there’s also a host of alternative bets that offer great value such as the round leader for the day and the top 10 and 5 players,” says Jonathan Kahn, Sunbet’s General Manager: Sports Betting.
